The importance of having real time temperature and humidity data to make strategic changes in IT infrastructure layout and demonstrate energy savings in the data center is becoming ever more critical.
In addition to the power monitoring hardware, we can provide a range of environmental management devices that can function with or without power monitoring capability. All our PDUs and in-line devices carry the capability to add a combined Temperature and humidity sensor. We have enhanced the range to include the same sensors that can work independently of the PDU. These are intended to supplement the in-cabinet power monitoring devices that have security and environmental monitoring built in.
Typical applications include monitoring room temperatures outside of cabinets; sensing for smoke or water under the floor; or checking for door closures in non-powered cabinets. IntelliSensors are entirely compatible with other equipment that we supply and can be attached to the same RS485 serial bus as other monitoring equipment.
