Electronic Rack System
With the ever-growing need to secure the assets within data centres, having an electronic security system at rack level has become a key focal point for consideration in data center design and planning. MPL’s key relationships with rack manufacturers across the globe have enabled Intellidata to develop a series of security systems that can feature of different rack types. The module can be fitted onto the door and will interface between our server system and the door handle. When a card is presented, the door will allow access is that card is registered on the server. More in-depth control can be structured to allow access for a master, and then have certain cards for certain rack types; Network, Server, Copper, Fibre etc..
The Centrally controlled cabinet security system allow managers to control which personnel have access to which cabinets and at what time. A centralized system also allows an audit rail of cabinet access to be created; alerts to be raised if the system is bypassed and access to be linked with a change request system. In short, the IntelliAccess system allows data center managers to implement and enforce a controlled access policy.
